Singer Jessica Simpson has added another stone into her sea of creativity. Already having some cool designer handbags, shoes, sunglass and swimsuit lines to her credit, Simpson recently let the designer in her give contours to a new lingerie line. Jessica Simpson’s latest collection of bras, undies, sleepwear and daywear will also be joining her namesake empire. The collection will be out for sales both in department stores and in online shopping sites around spring ‘09. Being a woman, Jessica has designed this lingerie keeping in mind the desires of a woman to look sexy or girly depending on her mood. She has also catered to the problem of revealing panty lines by including a stylish assortment of shapewear. Well, Jessica’s new collection would indeed be a success for its sexy yet comfortable fit.

Aamir Khan is once again ready to hit the ball, this time not as a poor village insurgent against the British to get rid of the land tax as he did in his maiden home production ‘Lagaan‘, but in a different role to promote his Oscar nominated movie on DVD.

Aamir plans a cricket match to be played at the Infinity Mall, Mumbai, on July 14th scheduled at 1400 hrs between the Lagaan XI and 11 lucky consumers of DVD’s or VCD’s bought from any landmark stores in India. The event is expected to be an audience’s enchantment. The much awaited event is being structured by Exel Home Videos in association with Landmark stores to be played in the mall, protected by nets for the masses to enjoy the match and see their heroes pulling on their gloves without any retakes. Aamir says:

Lagaan DVD has been a landmark in Indian Home Entertainment and in itself the celebration of the Spirit of Lagaan. We wanted to share the celebration with the fans of the movie and hence have planned this cricket match.

Apart from his rival payers, a recluse by nature, Aamir will also be dinning with another 11 lucky winner consumers of the Lagaan Collectors Edition wooden DVD Box set.

Along with this, a website named lagaandvd has also been launched where Aamir personally caters to his fans’ queries.

The Lagaan DVD with its bonus features like deleted scenes from the flick and a never-before-seen song, ‘’Re Bhaiyya Chhoote Lagaan’’ makes it the biggest release in Indian Home Entertainment arena and is generating amazing responses on the charts. Moreover, Aamir’s innovative plan to revive the moments of ‘Lagaan’ exploits India’s cricket crazy fans to help him double the sales. Howz that!
